Video recordings catch paedophile in the act

A criminal case into a suspected 33-year-old paedophile who allegedly masqueraded as an FSB-officer, has been reopened in a Moscow court. Andrey Tarasov was arrested in October last year for alleged sexual abuse of over twenty boys aged under thirteen, an

He met his victims in public places and invited them to his apartment. The suspect is believed to have charmed the children's parents by introducing himself as a dance instructor, a movie director, and even as an FSB-officer.

Video recordings and photos of the abuses  helped detectives trace the victims.

“He got acquainted with children in the streets and invited them to come to his place, to play computer games. At home he sexually abused them. We assume they didn’t quite understand what he was doing to them. When these children got older, he lost interest in them. He asked them to introduce him to younger children and paid money for that. The amount he spent was quite substantial. He had a business selling souvenirs in Red Square and it was quite profitable,” Boris Yakovichenko from the Crimian Investigation Department commented.
