“They don’t want to live in one state with Saakashvili”

The European parliament has been discussing the situation in Georgia following last year's war in South Ossetia.

Aleksandr Mirsky, a Latvian member of European Parliament who witnessed the fighting, knows exactly who's side he's on.

“I would like to ask those who are defending Saakashvili’s position a question. Have you been to South Ossetia? Have you seen what the Georgian army has done to Tskhinval?
I’ve been there and I witnessed all those atrocities, and that is a crime against the South Ossetian people. I’ve been talking to many Ossetian and Abkhazian people. They don’t want to live in one state with Saakashvili,”
he said.
