Changes in tuition fees no excuse for violence – MEP

Dozens were arrested and several people were injured during UK protests over proposed tuition hikes. What started as a peaceful demonstration ended with violence that MEP David Campbell Bannerman says cannot be justified.

“It is a huge change,” Bannerman said of the proposal, which could see tuition fees triple to £9,000 ($14,000) a year. “That has created a lot of anger.
