 Starbucks finally comes to Russia

Coffee retailer Starbucks will finally open its first store in Moscow by the end of next year, after years of negotiations. It comes after the coffee chain finally defeated a trademark squatter – regaining the rights to its brand in Ru

The company says growing consumer spending makes Russia an appealing destination. Coffee drinking is also on the rise in a traditionally  tea-loving country.

At the moment, Starbucks coffee is served in the US embassy and in one international hotel in Moscow.

With Russia, India, Brazil and Egypt in its sights, Starbucks will be present in 40 countries outside the US.
