Bin Laden video message real?

The U.S. Government is trying to verify the authenticity of what seems to be a new video message from Al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden. It was first made public by an Islamist website.

In the 30-minute message, Bin Laden does not call for any attacks but instead blames the American people for failing to stop the war in Iraq.

Date stamps suggest the footage was shot recently.

If the video message is real, it would be the first new images of the Al-Qaeda leader in almost three years.

A year ago there was some speculation about Bin Laden having died of typhoid.
