Russia sends mammoth package to Tokyo

A frozen one-year-old baby mammoth found in May on Russia's Arctic Yamal Peninsula died 37,000 years ago, according to an international group of scientists. In December, the mammoth named Lyoba will be transported to Tokyo for a three-dimensional computer

The 50-kilogram mammoth's body is well preserved with its eyes and trunk almost unharmed by the ages and its skin even has some remaining fur.

Researchers say the discovery is scientifically unique and, in terms of its condition, is the world's most valuable.
