Brave kitten escapes death, gets 3D wheelchair (VIDEO)

This courageous kitten has been saved from death, after losing both hind legs when he was born. However, the little one refused to give up, and survived, provided with a special wheelchair by the Tiny Kittens Society.

The kitten named Cassidy was found in a feral cat colony in British Columbia, Canada. Both his hind legs had been chewed off probably by his mother. He survived for nine weeks, as though waiting for help to arrive.

"It is a medical miracle that he survived even a day with such severe injuries, let alone nine weeks. His little body had just about given out from starvation and infection by the time we rescued him, but he never gave up!" the Tiny Kittens Society, members of which saved the kitten, wrote on Facebook.

They decided to help the brave kitten, and asked for assistance from the engineers at Handicapped Pets Canada, an organization that makes special devices for disabled animals.

The company created a 3D-printed wheelchair for the little amputee, thus allowing Cassidy to take his first steps on his own.

The Tiny Kittens Society posted the video on Facebook, with almost 14,000 shares and over 23,000 likes in about a week.

Just amazing. <3This tiny feral kitten lost both back legs when he was born, and somehow managed to survive for nine weeks in the forest. It is a medical miracle that he survived even a day with such severe injuries, let alone nine weeks. Thanks to the team at Mountain View Veterinary Hospital for giving Cassidy the chance he fought so hard for, and to Andrew at HandicappedPetsCanada.com for making the tiniest wheelchair he's ever made just so Cassidy wouldn't have to wait to feel the wind in his glorious floof. And our heartfelt thanks to those who have donated for Cassidy's medical expenses, sent supplies, made stump covers, shared posts and offered encouragement.... each of you has played a role in this tiny miracle!
