Chicago Cubs outfielder Jason Heyward attacked by bees during spring training (VIDEO)

During the Cubs' spring training game against the Seattle Marriners, 26-year-old Jason Heyward was the unfortunate target of a swarm of bees, leading him to take desperate evasive action before he got bit at least 20 times.

The game had to be delayed for 10 minutes as the swarm eventually made its way to the stands, but not before the damage was done.

In his struggle to fight off the bees, Heyward did everything he could – ran around, ducked, shooed them off with his glove, and eventually climbed over the outfield fence to escape them.

Heyward hit a two-run in the second half of the innings, but Seattle won the game 12-9.
