Republican ‘Hunger Games’: Comedian Stephen Colbert crashes RNC stage (VIDEO)
“The Late Show” host Stephen Colbert has kick started the Republican National Convention (RNC) in eccentric and hilarious style, crashing the stage with a luminous blue wig to launch the “Hungry for Power Games.”
Colbert rushed the main stage Sunday during RNC preparations in Cleveland, grabbing the mic and imitating Caesar Flickerman – the flamboyant host for the Hunger Games in the movie franchise of the same name.

Colbert begins the, now viral, stunt by revealing that Trump has “formed an alliance with Indiana Governor Mike Pence.”
He then drops his head for a moment before lifting it again and apologizing, saying he had just “blacked out.”
“It is my honor to hereby launch and begin the 2016 Republican national hunger for power games,” he continued before being confronted by security guards, who proceeded to remove him from the stage.

“I know I’m not supposed to be up here, but let’s be honest, neither is Donald Trump,” Colbert told the guard.
Colbert has previously used The Hunger Games as inspiration for political parodies and has dressed up as Flickerman on his show when discussing the presidential campaign.
Colbert will be joined by former Daily Show host Jon Stewart to cover this week’s RNC in Cleveland, as well as next week’s DNC in Philadelphia.
