‘I’m a New Yorker, and I know a con when I see one,’ Bloomberg on Trump

‘I’m a New Yorker, and I know a con when I see one,’ Bloomberg on Trump

Former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg does not mince his words when it comes to Donald Trump. Dissing him from the DNC stage, Bloomberg nearly had the crowd rolling in the aisles after calling his fellow New Yorker, Trump, “a con.”

“Trump says he wants to run the nation like he’s running his business? God help us. I’m a New Yorker, and I know a con when I see one,” Bloomberg said in a speech endorsing Hillary Clinton.

Bloomberg really did not skimp on the criticism towards Clinton’s Republican competitor this evening.

Bloomberg spoke of Trump as a “dangerous demagogue” and a bad businessman who would be the same as the president.

“Truth be told, the richest thing about Donald Trump is his hypocrisy,” Bloomberg said.

The audience, both at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center and from the other side of the screen, seemed to enjoy it.

One viewer suspected that Bloomberg was not only challenging Trump’s political course, but even his mental state.

Some on Twitter seemed to be ready stock up on popcorn to see the fight continue.
