Abramovich wants the most expensive house in Britain

Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich has announced plans to build the most expensive mansion in Britain, according to the British Daily Telegraph newspaper.

The paper says the eight-bedroom ‘palatial’ house will cost Abramovich around 150 million pounds.

To fulfill his plans, the billionaire has bought two adjoining townhouses in London’s Knightsbridge, which will be rebuilt to his own taste.

The magnate intends to maintain the properties beautiful stucco exteriors but is still willing to redevelop the interior. This will be the style of high neo-classical Victoriana to match the exterior.

With more than an 11 billion pound fortune from the oil and steel industries, Abramovich is the second richest man in Britain, according to the Sunday Times Rich List.

He is also famous for owning Chelsea Football Club and a marine fleet which includes three Super Yachts.

He’s also the governor of Russia's Far Eastern Chukotka Autonomous Region.
