The withering “Vine”: The best of the six-second classics (VIDEOS)

The withering “Vine”: The best of the six-second classics (VIDEOS)

Twitter announced plans to discontinue its six-second video sharing service Vine in the coming months.

Vine has been in use since early 2013, and in that time has brought users some memorable, albeit short videos.

Here are some of the best.

Do it for the Vine - when this adorable little girl bust some moves for six seconds.

Bernie Sanders loving Wall Street - Bernie saying “Wall Street” from various angles is pretty cool.

Bringing ‘on fleek’ to the masses - a new term commonly referring to one’s perfectly groomed eyebrows, the phrase should have its own entry in a dictionary.

Guy hits Krispy Kreme sign - well, he nearly pulled off the stunt at least.

Duck Army - one duck was funny, but what happens when you hear all of them?

Goat cries - it’s hilarious when animals mimic their owners.

Donkey kidnaps traffic cop - remember that time the donkey ran away with the police officer? You could say he was a bit of a jackass.

Keiser hits Moscow ice - Our very own Max Keiser ice skates in Moscow and even says that “President Putin cannot score against me!”

Boris Johnson takes down Japanese school kid - remember that time the mumbling bumbling ‘BoJo’ tackled a child to the ground? Here it is on loop.

Twitter, which acquired the company in 2012 says it will give users a chance to download their ‘vines’ before it shuts down completely, but will keep the website active.

"Thank you. Thank you. To all the creators out there -- thank you for taking a chance on this app back in the day," Twitter said on Medium. "To the many team members over the years who made this what it was -- thank you for your contributions. And of course, thank you to all of those who came to watch and laugh every day."
