If you have a fear of spiders, turn away now. A huge huntsman spider has been found by an animal farm rescuer in Brisbane Valley, Australia.

Named ‘Charlotte’ by the worker from Banyard Betty’s Rescue, the “magnificent girl” was found in a valley last year, but only now have photos of the creepy arachnid gone viral.

Though the venom from a huntsman spider bite is not usually dangerous to humans, their appearance can be somewhat menacing.

Many of the species grow large, with the leg span of male spiders reaching 12 inches in countries such as Laos.

A staff member from the rescue farm insisted the picture posted on Facebook was not altered.

“I released her here on the farm after rescuing her so I can’t get anymore photos or videos of her,” the worker said.

“She was a beautiful, calm spider, not aggressive in any way and like most spiders she just wanted to go about her business eating bugs and living in peace.”

Huntsman spiders are known to hideout in cars in Australia.

Only days ago, a man in Lake Cathie got a fright when a huntsman hopped onto his arm while he was driving and, instead of slamming on the brakes, he unfortunately hit the accelerator, prompting both him and the spider to plunge into the lake.
