#ImVotingBecause: Voters take over Twitter with inspirations for their choices

#ImVotingBecause: Voters take over Twitter with inspirations for their choices

Just hours away from the first votes of the 2016 election, many Americans are sharing their final thoughts before they hit the polls. Whether for Trump or Clinton, the motivations behind the #ImVotingBecause trend ranged from personal to political.

After a vicious campaign season, both candidates’ supporters have been mired in debate and discussions. However, the time for talk is nearing its end and Twitter users are making their closing arguments using #ImVotingBecause.

As usual, Trump’s supporters have been quite vocal on Twitter, drawing on Clinton’s email scandals, Benghazi and her husband’s indiscretions. Meanwhile, Clinton supporters continue to focus on Trump’s numerous controversies involving women, his inexperience and racially-charged statements.

And be sure to share your own reason for voting with us on Facebook and Twitter. What will you be thinking when you’re in the voting booth?

Now it’s your turn. Tell us on Facebook and Twitter what you’ll be thinking when you’re in the voting booth.
