Pedestrian narrowly escapes speeding bus on snowy road, doesn’t skip a beat (VIDEO)

Pedestrian narrowly escapes speeding bus on snowy road, doesn’t skip a beat (VIDEO)

A fresh dashcam video from Russia shows the chilling scene of a woman centimeters away from a speeding bus, which pulled out into oncoming traffic to pass cars in its own lane.

The video was shot in Chelyabinsk, Siberia, and is riddled with contradictions.

For one, the woman appears to be incredibly calm, as if the bus didn’t exist – she doesn’t change her pace at all, calmly marching on in front of two other cars, which also avoided collision with the bus by quickly swerving out of the way on the snowy road.

Secondly, what was that bus driver thinking – passing near a bus stop like that with cars heading towards it from the opposite direction?

Internet users are conflicted: some blame the woman, who decided to cross a busy street in an undesignated area.

“Stupid goat! Couldn’t she use the pedestrian crossing 10 meters away?” YouTube viewer Nikolay B commented.

Others were more concerned by the bus driver’s need-for-speed tactics.

“The way I see it, it’s clear that the pedestrian is crossing in a designated area and that the oncoming cars are stopping to let her cross, but the bus doesn’t want to stop and plows ahead to the oncoming way!!!” Dmitriy Kurilskiy left a comment on YouTube, however other users were quick to reply that she wasn’t using a pedestrian crossing.
