Russian tourist bus crashes in Turkey

A bus carrying 18 tourists from Russia has crashed near the Turkish resort of Antalya. The group’s guide was killed and more than ten people were injured.

Two people are reported to be in a serious condition.

According to Merdjalol Khusanov, Russian Consul General in Antalya, several vehicles collided near the town of Belek. The main crash was between the bus, carrying 22 passengers, and a lorry.

He said: “Among the passengers were 18 Russian tourists. The collision was almost head-on. 16 people have been put in hospital, one person is dead, and three have had surgery. All those injured are getting full medical help.”

The tourists had been travelling to the airport to fly home.
