Bush: Teacher and Mentor

Outgoing U.S. president George W. Bush is opening up the Freedom Institute upon leaving office in an effort to promote democracy.

President Bush plans to teach other leaders how to do their job when he leaves office next month.

A White House official says he's setting up the Freedom Institute as a research centre to promote democracies abroad. Bush even plans to give speeches much like Bill Clinton.

The spokesperson suggested that Georgia's President Mikhail Saakashvili could become one of the first students in the leadership master-class.

She said that Saakashvili displayed stamina when dealing with recent stressful situations.

Back in August, the Georgian President launched an attack on South Ossetia, which failed to bring it back under its control.

The spokeswoman said that Saakashvili could one day become a teacher himself.
