Interview with Arutyun Ulunyan

Following the Kosovan Democratic Party’s claim of winning local parliamentary elections, Arutyun Ulunyan, an expert in Kosovan history, spoke to RT on the issue. He said, he doesn’t expect the independence of Kosovo announced soon.

“I’m not sure that he [Hashim Thaci, the leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo] is ready to declare the independence of Kosovo. If he does, he will to produce a lot of problems in the international community. And one should know, that when someone is preparing for an election – he can promise anything. But after their establishment in the desired position, former candidates become much more mild. This doesn’t mean that Thaci will not give stubborn resistance to those, who would like to postpone this independence,” Ulunyan commented.
