Russia jets in to Washington

Americans may soon discover the comforts of a new passenger jet made in Russia. Superjet International, the company that's to sell the passenger planes, has opened an office in Washington.

The SSJ 100 jet has been jointly developed by Sukhoi and Italian manufacturer Alenia Aeronautica since 2001.

It’s Russia's first all-new jet, not built to Soviet-era blueprints.

Eighty-nine orders have already been taken on the new jet, which took its first flight in Spring last year.
