“Afghanistan is much more difficult nut to crack” – expert

Seven thousand US troops have begun patrolling the southern parts of Afghanistan. Ivan Eland, a defense policy expert from Washington’s Independent Institute, shared his views on the additional troops in Afghanistan.

The 7,000 represent the first portion of 21,000 troops ordered to go to the country by US President Barack Obama.
