U.S. to release secret documents dating back to Cold War

The U.S. is to release millions of national archive documents dating back to the Cold War and declassified by Bill Clinton in 1995, to save the billions of dollars it cost to store them.

Over 1 BLN pages from the secret U.S. files will be made public on January 1.

The documents are expected to shed light on previously unknown facts from the Vietnam war, the Cuban Missile Crisis and other historic events.
