US troops unlikely to leave Germany

After Angela Merkel was reelected chancellor in Germany, the new government decided to request that the US withdraw its nukes from German territory.

“But Germany has an agreement with NATO for stationing American troops in Germany,” Uta Zapf, a member of German Parliament’s Arms Control Subcommittee, told RT. “It has been reduced a lot, but they still are on the ground. It is a framework of NATO. I don’t think that anybody will touch it.”
