“Iran simply pursuing its right for peaceful nuclear program”

Iran’s nuclear decisions are the way to show that it is an independent state and has the undisputable right to develop a peaceful nuclear program, said Seyyed Mohammad Marandi from the University of Tehran.

“The United States must not misread the situation in the country,” Marandi said. “The Iranians are adamant that, as a sovereign country, they will pursue their right to enrich uranium for peaceful purposes, especially when we take into account the fact that there has never been evidence whatsoever provided to show that the Iranian program is anything but peaceful.”

“Iran has been pursuing [progress] not only in the nuclear field but also nanotechnology, in stem cell research, as well as others, and it is a very advanced country in all these different fields.”
