“Dubai World crisis is a lesson for investors”

It is one of the lessons that any investor should learn very early in their career – do not do anything unless you know it is guaranteed by somebody that you can rely on, international investor Jim Rogers told RT.

“Nobody ever guaranteed Dubai World, and that’s the lesson that people have learned over and over again throughout history,” he added.

The Emirate's state-owned firm was teetering last week because it wanted to delay billions of dollars in loans. Gulf markets are still reeling from what has been the first big sign of economic trouble there.
