"Obama might pressure Turkish PM to release accused coup masters"

US president Barack Obama might ask Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to release Ergenekon nationalist gang prisoners, said RT contributor Wayne Madsen.

“It [Ergenekon movement] involves members of Turkish intelligence, the MIT, and the Turkish military and they are accused of three coups in the last few years against Prime Minister Erdogan’s Islamist AKP government,” Madsen told RT.

Madsen added that many of the Ergenekon prisoners have been associated with the US military and CIS, “The danger is that CIA operations in Turkey, now and over several decades in the past, may be exposed.”

”President Obama, who has bent over backwards for the CIA and the Pentagon, may be under pressure to put pressure on the Turkish Prime Minister.”
