North Caucasians suspected in train bombing

The Russian ‘Kommersant’ paper says prosecutors suspect a militant group from Northern Caucasus are the most likely culprits behind the bombing of the Moscow to St. Petersburg train which was derailed on August 13. It left 60 people injured and 800 metres

According to the paper, investigators claim local residents in Maly Vishery, that’s where the train derailed on August the 13, gave a lift to a man from the Caucasus, who claimed he was looking for a place to settle with his family. They said this was about a week before the bombing. The man was seen again on the day of the crash.

Meanwhile, police in the Russian Novgorod region says it has detained two suspects in the bombing of the Moscow to St. Petersburg train, according to the Ria Novosti News Agency.
