With International Women’s Day just around the corner, some daring ladies from the Russian capital have decided to get behind the wheel of racing cars for some fast action.

Although the holiday is still two days away, these lady drivers got together over the weekend in a district of Moscow to demonstrate they can handle these fast machines just as well as any man.

Don’t let their good looks and lipstick fool you. The event, which features the female hot-rodders speeding along an icy track, requires nerves of raw steel with lots of exciting moments, including overtaking, undercutting and even the occasional spin out.

The extreme competition will end with a ceremony awarding one lucky female driver the title of “Auto Lady.”
