Russian MMA prospect honored to face Zapadka

Russian MMA fighter Musa Musalaev says he is honored to step into the ring against seven-time Jiu-Jitsu world champ, Kornel “Kornik” Zapadka of Poland.

The two will fight each other in the inaugural edition of “The VERDICT” mixed martial arts tournament, to take place in Moscow on Saturday."It's a great honor for me to face a seven-time world champion in Jiu-Jitsu,” Musalaev said. “Because just to gain a black belt in this sport is hard. But to become a seven-time world champion is something extraordinary. So, for me it's a great honor, indeed, to fight Kornel."Both athletes are relatively new names in the sport. Kornel will be looking for his third MMA win in as many bouts against Musalaev, while it will be just the second fight for the Russian.
