Germany tears Argentine apart

The German national football team rushed into the semifinals of the FIFA World Cup in South Africa after destroying Argentine with a 4-0 score line.

The Germans wasted no time in grabbing the vital opener. And it was Argentine’s defender Nicolas Otamendi who became his team’s anti-hero on the 3rd minute. He first committed an unnecessary foul and then lost Thomas Mueller, who scored with his head after Bastian Schweinsteiger’s free kick, 1-0.

It has to be noted that the Latin American’s keeper, Sergio Romero, also wasn’t at his best, conceding what appeared to be the fastest goal of the tournament.

The dedicated German defense didn’t allow Maradona’s men to create anything really threatening in front of Manuel Neuer’s goal in the first half, while the Bundesteam’s speedy counter attacks looked very dangerous.

Especially, the one on 24 minute when Miroslav Klose fired over the bar from the center of the Argentinean box.

And it was all Germany after the game restarted. Joachim Loew’s men doubled their lead on the 68th minute. Despite being on the ground, Mueller passed the ball to Lucas Podolski, who found Klose, with the striker needing just to put the ball into an empty net, 2-0.

At six minutes Schweinsteiger made German Chancellor Mangela Merkel go crazy in the stands, organizing his team’s third goal. The midfielder dribbled through three Argentinean defenders before delivering the ball to Arne Friedrich, 3-0.

The German win looked obvious, but the Europeans didn’t stop attacking and scored again. Klose settled the final score, grabbing his 14th ever World Cup goal, which means he’s just one goal away from the result of record holder Ronaldo of Brazil.

At the same time the world’s best footballer, Lionel Messi, leaves South Africa without a single goal scored.

Impressive Germany progresses to the semis where they’ll face the winner of the match between Spain and Uruguay.
