Caviar snack for thousands served in Russia's Far East

A giant red caviar sandwich is the centre of celebrations in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk in Russia's Far East. The city is marking its 125th anniversary this weekend.

City officials say that 90 kilos of this traditional Sakhalin delicacy was used to make the huge heart-shaped snack. A fifteen-square-metre sandwich was enough for over 2,000 people to take a bite.

After lunch there was a concert and then a city parade.
