Accused mass murderer stays mum

A new attorney could be announced today at the trial of Aleksandr Pichushkin who is accused of murdering 49 people in Moscow's Bitsevsky Park.

The self-confessed killer has denied attorney services during the previous court session.

He said the lawyer picked by his relatives is not representative of his interests in the trial.

Pichushkin has refused to publicly admit his guilt and asked to make a statement today.

The judge ruled that out of order and the accused declined to answer any further questions.
