Korean leaders' meeting dubbed a success

South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun says he is pleased with the outcome of Wednesday's talks with North Korea's leader Kim Jong Il. A spokesman for the President said the heads of state would issue a joint statement at the end of Thursday's meeting in Pyo

In a separate round of negotiations, North Korea agreed to disable its main nuclear reactor by the end of the year.

As part of the six nation talks, North Korea also said it will give a “complete and correct” declaration of all of its nuclear programmes by December 31.
