Russian youngsters support Georgian 'fight for democracy'

Hundreds of activists from the “Nashi” youth movement have rallied near the Georgian embassy in Moscow.

Demonstrators said they were protesting against what they call the “anti-democratic regime” of president Mikhail Saakashvili.

Moral support for Georgians, who want to fight for their rights and democracy, was also declared.

Many were wearing gas-masks as a reminder of the violent clashes that took place on November the 7th in the Georgian capital when police dispersed an opposition rally.

“Nashi” is a Kremlin-funded youth movement, which has over 100,000 members.
