Four airflifts planned as Lebanon aid

Four airflifts planned as Lebanon aid

A Russian Emergencies Ministry aircraft taking humanitarian aid to south Lebanon was due to leave a Moscow airport on Thursday, the second of four planned airlifts. The shipment will include tents, blankets and other basic provisions.

The plane will land at Larnaca, Cyprus, where the United Nations Food Programme will ferry the aid to south Lebanon. Two more shipments of food, medical and electrical supplies are planned for later this month.
