Former Beslan hostages head for judo tournament in Japan

On September 1, 2004, a group of terrorists seized school number one in Beslan in the republic of North Ossetia, locking more than 1,100 hostages in the gymnasium.

Among the 333 hostages that lost their lives were nearly 200 children. More than 700 others were injured.
