MAX KEISER, HOST OF RT’S THE KEISER REPORT, NAMED THE MOST DANGEROUS PERSON IN FINACIAL MEDIA BY HUFFINGTON POST BLOG

MOSCOW, June 22, 2012 – Keiser tops the list of “25 Most Dangerous People in Financial Media,” which was composed by Joshua M. Brown, a financial blogger for The Huffington Post, author and frequent contributor to the Wall Street Journal, CNBC and Forbes. The Keiser Report is a finance- and markets-focused program that has aired on RT since 2009.

Max Keiser is a former Wall Street stockbroker, inventor of the virtual specialist technology, broadcaster and journalist. RT’s The Keiser Report, which earned Keiser and the show’s co-host Stacy Herbert the top spots on Brown’s list, is a no-holds barred look at the shocking scandals behind the financial headlines. The program focuses on the hottest topics in the global economy, from the collusion between Wall Street and Capitol Hill to the latest banking crime wave, from bogus government economic statistics to rigged stock markets. According to Brown, the list is a laudatory recognition for media personalities that are “dangerous in a good way -- these are the financial media players who are making things very difficult for the establishment to maintain the status quo…These are the folks leading the charge to take [true democracy or capitalism] back.” Brown’s reason for selecting Keiser and Herbert for the list was that “no one speaks with more candor and no one speaks with more courage on behalf of all of us - the victims of the most infamous unpunished heist in world history.” Yves Smith, a blogger and author of Naked Capitalism who has been interviewed by RT and has appeared on several of RT’s programs, including The Alyona Show and Capital Account, has also made the list, along with 23 other reporters, TV hosts, bloggers and authors from such outlets as CNBC, Reuters, Bloomberg and DealBreaker.com. RT is a global international news network that broadcasts in English, Arabic and Spanish from its studios in Moscow and Washington, DC, and is available to 530 million viewers worldwide. RT became the first TV news channel in the world to pass 700 million views on YouTube. In 2010, RT became the first ever Russian channel to garner a nomination for the prestigious Emmy International Award, in the News category. RT streams online at RT.com.
