RT PARTNERS WITH FINNAIR TO PROVIDE DAILY NEWS UPDATES ON FLIGHTS
MOSCOW, JULY 16, 2013 – RT begins delivering real-time news and original documentary content for Finland’s largest airline.
Starting today, RT begins providing Finnair with a daily news block from that day’s morning news broadcast of RT’s flagship English-language channel. RT’s newscasts are available on long-haul Finnair flights, which carry more than 2 million passengers per year to destinations all around the world.
“What is unique about this project is that RT news content on Finnair flights will be updated daily, so that Finnair passengers can stay up to date on the latest international developments despite being in transit,” says RT’s editor in chief Margarita Simonyan. “Not all air carriers have such a remarkable technological capability, which is why we are particularly excited about this collaboration.”

In addition to the daily news block, every month RT will supply the airline with a new documentary feature.
