Snuggly koala chases Australian dairy farmer on quad bike (VIDEO)

Snuggly koala chases Australian dairy farmer on quad bike (VIDEO)

A furry koala unable to cope with rejection decided to chase down his beloved, a 31-year-old dairy farmer from Victoria, Australia, who tried to steal away from the unwanted affection on a quad bike but failed.

Ebony Churchill was driving a herd of cows on a property near Heywood in western Victoria, when she noticed a koala climbing from one tree to another. At least that is what she thought was going on.

The koala bloody chased me tonight! F#$....Shit me self

She said that it wasn’t the first time she had caught sight of exactly the same koala. She had already seen it a couple of times following her from a safe distance, but the curious koala had never dared to come closer or, let alone, chase her down.

The woman divulged the real state of affairs: “He was in love with me and I rejected him so he chased me.”

“He started running towards me and I thought I better speed up,” she told The Advertiser.

“But the more I sped up, the faster he got.

“I thought if I got further down the track, he would lose interest. I got to the end of the cows and couldn’t go any further so that’s when I bailed off the bike.”

The woman didn’t feel like getting intimate with her furry suitor, as she knew they have very “hard, sharp claws” and this little guy without a doubt looked like he was dying to touch her leg.

Churchill was forced to abandon the bike on a muddy road. She then lost sight of the koala for a moment, only to discover it some seconds later snuggling up to a tire on her quad bike.

“He sat on the tire for a while and I didn’t want to upset him,” she said. “I started herding the cows on foot and when I looked back, he had got off the bike and was walking away.”

“They’re very active this time of year,” she said. “He was a gorgeous koala — really, really cute.”

The video published on Churchill’s Facebook page has been watched almost 100,000 times, shared more than 20,000 times, and commented on by dozens of people touched by the fearless koala that refused to give up.
