Medvedev outlines main points of his campaign programme

Russia's First Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev is finishing his three-day trip to the country's east by visiting the city of Khabarovsk. Talking to local journalists, he revealed some of the most important issues of his presidential programme.

“The candidate’s programme should be based on what was worked out in recent years, the projects we’ve been working on with President Putin. These tasks are set for years to come. The most important thing is to ensure stable development. This is the main point in my programme,” Dmitry Medvedev said.

“I think my programme as a candidate should consist of two parts. The first part, voiced at the civil forum in Moscow is dedicated to social and political problems, the country’s development and the fight against corruption. The second part, dealing with the economy will be made public at the Krasnoyarsk economic forum in the next few days,” he added.
