Transfer Tips: Spurs to beat Arsenal to Lavezzi signing, Grujic set for Liverpool medical

With the January transfer window now open, a number of leading Premier League teams are seemingly set to add new players to their squads.

Liverpool look close to bolstering their midfield options, with 19-year-old Serbian playmaker Marko Grujic reportedly set for a medical at Anfield on Monday.

The Red Star Belgrade schemer is highly rated and has starred for his nation at the Under-21 level.

Grujic was also in the sights of Chelsea and Inter Milan, but is close to being added to Jurgen Klopp’s contingent in a £5.1 million ($7.4 million) deal.

The Reds were beaten 2-0 away to West Ham on Saturday, with the Merseysiders expected to be busy over the next month in an attempt to finish in the top four.

French media are speculating over the future of Paris St-Germain star Ezequiel Lavezzi, who is out of contract in the summer and being tipped for a January exit from the Ligue 1 champions.

North London rivals Tottenham and Arsenal are supposedly keen to add the gifted Argentine to their ranks over the next month, but it is believed that Mauricio Pochettino’s side is leading the race for his signature.

Spurs have lofty ambitions this term and look well-placed to finish in the top four, with Lavezzi’s acquisition reportedly set to happen at a cut price given his expiring contract.

Finally, versatile Real Madrid midfielder Isco is being linked with a move to the Premier League and a potential big-money transfer to Manchester City.

The Spain international has found regular starting berths difficult to come by at the Santiago Bernabeu this season under Rafa Benitez and was an unused substitute in the 2-2 draw with Valencia on Sunday.

City manager Manuel Pellegrini knows Isco well from their mutual time at Malaga, with the pair potentially set for a reunion at the Etihad Stadium in the near future.
