Transfer roundup: Liverpool conclude double deal, Ronaldo & Hazard’s future in doubt

Transfer roundup: Liverpool conclude double deal, Ronaldo & Hazard’s future in doubt

Liverpool have announced the signing of Serbian wonderkid Marko Grujic, while the futures of Eden Hazard and Cristiano Ronaldo at Chelsea and Real Madrid respectively are in doubt.

Gifted midfielder Grujic’s $7.5 million acquisition is coach Jurgen Klopp’s first major piece of transfer business at Anfield since replacing Brendan Rodgers earlier this season.

The young prodigy will spend the rest of the current campaign back on loan at Red Star Belgrade before joining his new club for 2016-17.

The 19-year-old is a rising star in his homeland, stepping out for the national under-21 side and putting in impressive performances at club level.

Grujic’s arrival will add to Klopp’s options in the center of the park next season, with the young eastern European’s range of passing and creativity being lauded over recent months.

The teenager admitted that moving to Anfield was a dream come true.

“I’m very excited and so proud to be here and a member of Liverpool Football Club. I can’t wait to get started, play at Anfield and train at Melwood,” Grujic said.

Liverpool are also on the verge of signing 16-year-old Polish goalkeeper Kamil Grabara from Ruch Chorzow, who will move to the Merseyside club for an initial $366,000.

Despite Zinedine Zidane replacing the unpopular Rafa Benitez as Real Madrid coach, Cristiano Ronaldo is being tipped to leave the Spanish giants this summer.

Credible reports in England say the Portuguese attacker feels his time at the Santiago Bernabeu has run its course, with Paris Saint-Germain and former club Manchester United the favorites to land his signature.

The man to replace Ronaldo in the Spanish capital could well be Eden Hazard, but the Chelsea winger is being tipped to stay with the struggling English champions until the summer.

The Belgium international is a known favorite of Zidane, with plenty of speculation that the ex-Lille schemer could be added to the Los Blancos squad over the next month.

However, despite Hazard’s issues with injury and form this season, last season’s PFA Player of the Year will could remain at Stamford Bridge until the club’s next permanent manager is named.
