Mr Microsoft no longer world's richest man

Legendary U.S. investor Warren Buffet has been named the richest man in the world. He added an extra $US 10 billion to his fortune in just a year. It's the first time in 13 years Microsoft chief Bill Gates hasn't been the wealthiest man on the planet.

Gates has fallen to third on the list.

Russian Aluminum magnet Oleg Deripaska made it to number nine. He's one of 87 Russian billionaires, according to Forbes.

Meanwhile, Forbes says the total number of billionaires in the world has reached a record figure of 1,125.

And Moscow has become billionairesville.  There are more billionaires in the Russian capital than in New York or any other city in the world.
