Wee the People: LGBT community crashes America’s two-party toilet system

Wee the People: LGBT community crashes America’s two-party toilet system

For Americans, a simple trip to a public restroom is turning into a potentially hazardous adventure as radical new laws are allowing men who 'self-identify' as women to gain access to ladies’ bathrooms and changing facilities.

This is certainly the last column I had ever envisaged writing. After all, some things in life are so self-evident, so sacrosanct, so enshrined in the ‘Constitution of Common Sense’ that it's impossible to imagine life – normal, decent life - without them. And although sometimes laws and customs deserve to be swept away for more progressive ideas, sometimes they should not. This is one of those times they should not.

I’m talking about ongoing efforts by the LGBT community (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender) to radically desegregate public bathrooms and allow those males who ‘self-identify’ themselves as females to use women’s restrooms and locker rooms. You’d be wrong to dismiss this as harmless toilet humor; in fact, this represents the gravest threat to civil society as we know it. The question is: why are American liberals, in cahoots with a psycho-sympathetic media, obsessed about turning public restrooms into a free-for-all when only a minuscule segment of the US population describes themselves as ‘transgender.’

But why should we fret over minor details. Let’s all jump aboard the crazy train to hell come what may.

Here is how Target, the second-largest discount retailer in the US, rationalized its decision to announce open season for perverts inside women's bathrooms and fitting rooms: "We believe that everyone—every team member, every guest, and every community—deserves to be protected from discrimination, and treated equally. We welcome transgender team members and guests to use the restroom or fitting room facility that corresponds with their gender identity."

While Target is busy playing devil’s advocate to every deranged whim and fancy, they should have added: ‘We also welcome sexual predators with an uncontrollable urge for stalking women and young girls in the act of undressing in our fitting rooms, because perverts have feelings too, and the last thing we would want to do is discriminate!’

This is not to say, of course, that people who define themselves as transgender, bisexual, gay or lesbian are themselves the risky variable in this potty plan. Nothing of the sort. Personally, I have no problem with people choosing whatever sexual lifestyle they are most comfortable with. The problem is that it is 100 percent impossible to distinguish between those males who honestly identify themselves with the opposite sex, from those who do so for other less-benevolent reasons – reasons that only become clear after a crime has been committed.

Furthermore, when has a transgender person ever been discriminated against while attempting to use the john? What does that even mean? And if they fear for their safety, will they be any more safe being seen using the women's bathrooms? At the same time, who has not read hundreds of lurid tales about sexual predators stalking, attacking, raping and killing females (and occasionally other males as well)? Every time we open a newspaper or website we are confronted with dozens of horrific stories.

If ever on God's green earth was there a recipe for total societal disaster, giving men access to women's public facilities is it. Indeed, the only group that must be grinning ear to ear over this insane idea are the lawyers, who will be reaping a windfall once the sexual assault season begins in earnest. Yet this is exactly where the 'progressives' assume the mantle of self-righteousness, feigning horror and ignorance as if they never heard stories about sexual maniacs and the victims they prey upon.

In just one of many recent attempts by misguided males to manipulate the radical new rules of the game to their advantage, Seattle Parks and Recreation reported  "a first-of-a-kind challenge to gender bathroom rules." According to authorities, "a man wearing board shorts entered the women's locker room and took off his shirt. Women alerted staff, who told the man to leave, but he said 'the law has changed and I have a right to be here.'"

Whoa, never saw that coming!

The article then touches upon the million-dollar question regarding open-door toilet policies: How will the anointed gatekeepers differentiate from the women who are trapped in male bodies from the 'real' men who are bona-fide menaces to society and in desperate need of incarceration? Ready? "Employees just rely on verbal identification or physical appearance... and this man offered neither."

And then this gem from the park chief, who really sounds astute on the subject of transgender face control: "This didn't seem like a transgender issue to staff – someone who was ‘identifying’ as a woman," the official wrote in a statement to KING 5. "We have guidelines that allow transgender individuals to use restrooms and locker rooms consistent with their gender identity. We want everyone to feel comfortable in our facilities."

So by allowing sexual deviants to enter women’s bathrooms, everyone will start feeling comfortable.

I'm not really sure how this latest American comi-tragedy will play out, but I am certain that 'comfort' is the very last thing Americans will feel once this madness becomes institutionalized. But I would guess that is exactly what the powers-that-be hope to achieve from this legislative lobotomy: a stupendously stupid and volatile issue – tossed like grenades in local trenches far away from the power centers - with which to distract the people from the truly pressing matters, like an imploding national economy, an addiction to overseas wars and a presidential campaign that is threatening to place a don, a maverick on the throne.

Speaking of which, what does ‘The Donald' think about the idea of opening transgender bathrooms across Corporate America? “There's a big move to create new bathrooms,” Trump told the Today show. “Problem with that is … first of all, I think that would be discriminatory in a certain way. It would be unbelievably expensive for businesses and for the country. Leave it the way it is."

And people wonder why Trump is light years ahead of the political rat pack.

Meanwhile, so-called Liberal intellectuals, like decrepit rocker Henry Rollins, can't seem to wrap their feeble brains around why North Carolina and Mississippi passed laws that prohibit transgender individuals from accessing the bathroom that matches their gender identity, as if these people were just your average finicky consumers shopping for the right curtains to match their dining room.

"Judging from the people of the state I have met over almost 50 years, I can't believe they are pleased with House Bill 2. They probably are wondering how they got to where they are now," Rollins wrote, in one of the few passages the potty mouth didn’t taint with expletives, as if swearing will somehow balance out the deficit of critical thinking.

I am also sad to report that Bruce Springsteen, the one artist who captures the spirit of America in his music, cancelled a scheduled concert in North Carolina, saying the state’s efforts to keep men out of women’s bathrooms “is an attempt by people who cannot stand the progress our country has made in recognizing the human rights of all of our citizens to overturn that progress.”

I wonder if The Boss' next album will be entitled, 'Raped in the USA'?

Are we expected to believe that these Liberals are so deliriously detached from reality that they cannot grasp what this open-door policy means for public safety? Or have they become so immune to reality behind their guarded mansions and gilded limousines that the only time they come into contact with restrooms they must share with other human beings are in unpolluted places like the National Ballet, the floor of the Democratic Convention and George Clooney's spacious home? I invite the reader to consider those less culturally refined places dotting the American Heartland where we as a species must occasionally relieve ourselves and change our clothes, like Jake's Truck Stop just off Route 66, Billy Bob’s Burger Barn, or Fat Frank's fitness club's changing room around closing time.

The inherent dangers of non-sexually oriented bathrooms and locker rooms are so incredibly obvious that it is infuriating that it even requires discussion. But there is a twinkle of light at the end of the stuffed, rusty pipe. Target, like a number of other soulless corporations, is beginning to feel the sting over its dumb decision to prostrate itself at the altar of cultural insanity lest they lose a single sale. Proving there is still hope in the 'home of the brave', almost a million people have signed a pledge to boycott Target over its transgender bathroom policy.

The petition, organized by the American Family Association (AFA), a conservative Christian group, gained more than 700,000 signatures as of April 25. Opponents to the 'transparent bathroom policy' are using #BoycottTarget to voice their support of the petition.

Target’s decision “means a man can simply say he 'feels like a woman today' and enter the women's restroom... even if young girls or women are already in there," the petition states. "Target's policy is exactly how sexual predators get access to their victims. And with Target publicly boasting that men can enter women's bathrooms, where do you think predators are going to go?"

Somehow this golden nugget of common sense is being ignored at the risk of many women being exposed to very real physical harm.

This latest move on women's bathrooms and changing areas is just the latest in a series of very disturbing trends happening in the country. First, the entire country was forced to watch from every grocery store tabloid rack and TV screen as one-time Olympic gold medalist Bruce Jenner went through the painful, slow-motion transformation of becoming Caitlyn Jenner. In November, Glamour magazine declared Caitlyn 'Woman of the Year 2015.'

This announcement aroused heated debate around the country, with the Christian Post setting the record straight: "Depending on your worldview, Caitlyn Jenner either isn't a woman (because of XY chromosomes and a penis) or has just become one in the past year. We can all agree, however, that other than making news for being transgender, this year's recipient hasn't done anything for women."

But that was just dress rehearsal for the real madness coming down the pipe.

On Oct. 14, 2015, the principal of a Minnesota charter school informed parents that teachers would be working to “support a student who is gender nonconforming.”

As it turned out, the child with 'sexual issues' was enrolled in kindergarten, and could barely tie up his shoe laces.

According to The Daily Signal: "Their 5- and 6-year-old children, parents were told in an email, 'will listen to various books that celebrate differences and will be teaching children about the beauty of being themselves.'

One of the selected books, the principal explained, would be 'My Princess Boy,' a story that centers on a boy "who sometimes likes to do traditional girl things like wear dresses."

And now children are facing the prospects of their schools enforcing uni-sex bathroom policies, thus removing any distinction between the sexes, while doing unspeakable harm to the mental development of innocent children who still believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny.

Just this week, the Marion County, Fla. school board approved a transgender bathroom ban, saying students will have to use restrooms and facilities based on their sex rather than their gender identity.

Although this one court case shows that not everybody has lost their common sense, it is just one of many battles to be fought for the heart and minds of American children.

It's really time for Americans to say 'no more.' The cross-cultural experiments being carried out on our children and the public at large must end.
