Butter luck next time: Anti-Trump protester smears wrong cars with peanut spread

Butter luck next time: Anti-Trump protester smears wrong cars with peanut spread

In an act of protest against Donald Trump, a Wisconsin woman smeared peanut butter on cars she thought belonged to his supporters. They were actually owned by members of a non-profit conservation club, however.

The usually uneventful meeting of the ‘Tomorrow River Valley Conservation Club’ on Monday was interrupted by 32-year-old Christina Ferguson, emotionally yelling at them about how much she hated Donald Trump while armed with a jar of peanut butter.

She left the meeting after being told to do so – but not before leaving her mark on the latest victims of the bitter US presidential election.

One of the members of the group followed her outside to ensure she had left but instead claims they found Ferguson smearing peanut butter onto cars, with roughly 30 receiving a new coat according to Stevens Point City Times (SPCT).

Portage County Sheriff’s Office were called and went to her home. While simultaneously denying her role in the incident, Ferguson kept licking her fingers in an attempt to hide the buttery substance, reported SPCT.

She eventually succumbed to questioning though, admitting she thought it was a meeting of Donald Trump supporters and she wanted to demonstrate “how much she loved Hillary Clinton and hated Donald Trump.”

“Peanut buttering is better than firebombing, and Trump plans on firebombing everybody in other countries,” Ferguson said, according to the complaint lodged by police.

Alcohol may have also played a factor in her enhanced political motivation. After admitting to drinking beer and brandy on the night, she blew a .218 on a breathalyzer, putting her well beyond the legal limit.

Ferguson has been charged with disorderly conduct.
