‘Well of Death’: Mad-cap Indian stuntmen take dangerous driving to a whole new level (VIDEO)

The wall of death, an early 20th century carnival stunt involving motorcycles speeding around a vertical track, has been raised to another level to include a whole motorcade of racing vehicles.

In India, where the crazy stunt is more commonly referred to as the ‘well of death’, performers racing hatchbacks and motorbikes pull off incredible maneuvers on a track resembling a giant, swirling drain.

One of latest clips of the bizarre phenomenon to emerge appears to have been filmed in the city of Hyderabad at the Numaish Exhibition grounds.

It shows the vehicles accelerate at a steady speed to rise up the sheer face of the track whilst avoiding what would surely be a fatal collision with their fellow stunt participants.

At one point a man riding a motorcycle appears to lie down on the bonnet of car, before the drivers manage to combine their vehicles in a tight formation.

The show comprises a circular 9-meter-high (30-ft) track surrounded by a viewing platform for spectators to perilously peek down at the performers.
