Lithuanian babies compete in crawling race

Twenty-five infants have taken part in Lithuania's annual baby crawling contest, held in Vilnius to find the 'fastest crawler in the land.'

The tots aged between seven and twelve months raced each other down a five-metre track.

The champion crawler took just eleven seconds to clamber across the finishing line.

The annual race has become something of a spectator sport in the country since it first began nine years ago. The event commemorates International Child Protection Day.
