‘Intelligence porn’: FBI director’s new nickname for WikiLeaks

FBI Director James Comey aided the evolution of the English language for better or worse when he coined the phrase “intelligence porn.” Netizens have been left baffled by the phrase; Can he use it in a sentence please?

Speaking at a hearing on FBI oversight Wednesday, Comey described WikiLeaks as crossing “a line when it moves from being about trying to educate a public, and instead just becomes about intelligence porn.”

A quick search of Urban Dictionary revealed what we all expected, that James Comey is to “intelligence porn” what Kim Kardashian is to “selfie,” a champion of a new phrase in the English language.

The exact meaning of the phrase has left some Twitter users confused, wishing Comey had elaborated more on it’s everyday use. “So if… WikiLeaks is "intelligence porn," then what would that make republicans who drooled all over it during election?” one user asked.

Comey added that “WikiLeaks is an important focus of our attention” but did not confirm if charges are pending against its editor, Julian Assange.

Tell us what you think. Will you be working “intelligence porn” into your daily dialect?
