Kellyanne Conway sparks torrent of memes with latest interview gaffe

Trump counselor Kellyanne Conway inspired an avalanche of memes after appearing on Fox News, armed with printed cards to help her discuss allegations of collusion between Trump’s campaign and Russia.

Conway was invited on the show ‘Hannity’ to discuss the alleged Trump-Russia conspiracy, and to point the finger at the Democratic National Committee’s own alleged collusion with Ukraine. The White House counselor brought flashcards to make her point, perhaps wary after her previous media appearances sparked viral mockery.

Before holding up her cards, Conway explained, “This is how I see it so far, this is for all the people at home.”

She held up a page with the words, “Conclusion?” and “Collusion,” which had an X through it.

“What’s the conclusion?” she asked, adding, ”Collusion? No, we don’t have that yet.”

Conway then held up a second page with the words, “Illusion” and “Delusion” written on it, saying, “I see illusion and delusion!”

“Collusion? No. Illusion and delusion? Yes,” she added. “I just thought we’d have some fun with words, a Sesame’s Grover’s [Sesame Street character] word of the day perhaps, Sean?”

Conway’s unconventional media appearance inspired yet another array of memes and mockery.

Many took the opportunity to invoke Conway’s past transgressions, including the time she referenced the “Bowling Green massacre” - a terrorist incident which never occurred.
