Russia introduces new type of entry visa to obtain permit for temporary residence

Russia has introduced a new type of entry visa for obtaining a permit for temporary residence. The order was published Wednesday on the government website after it was signed by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. Foreign citizens will be given such visas for up to four months. The visa will be issued by a diplomatic mission or consular establishment, after the Interior Ministry agrees to issue a permit to a citizen for a temporary residence in Russia.
