6 Russian bombers hit ISIS on western bank of Euphrates in Syria – military
Six Russian TU-22M3 long-range bombers carried out airstrikes on Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) targets on the western bank of the Euphrates river in Syria on Friday, RIA Novosti reported. The airstrikes hit militant strongholds and groups, the Russian Defense Ministry said. The bombers took off from airfields in Russia.
